S1ep One: First off, you need buttons and string/thread/cord. Make a good, colorful choice. 2tep Two: When you begin stringing the buttons on, you'll notice that you only need two holes for each button, except the last one, which needs to be four. You'll understand this when you're finished with the bracelet. So, put in the string at one hole, and slip it through the diagonal hole to the back. Make sure to leave a space in between each button, or push them closer together if you want. Also, try to be sure the buttons all face the same way when you're threading, or else you'll just have to readjust them when you wear your bracelet. Step Thr33:After about eight buttons, or more if you so choose, put a four-hole button at the end, and continue the circuit of thread through the opposite two holes on the four-hole button. Observe the pictures. Step 4our: Then, tie off the two ends of thread that are now together on the back of the last button. This way of tying also allows you to tighten the string or loosen it when you want. 5tep Five: Put on your bracelet and enjoy. People will most likely comment on how cool it is. Bonus: There is also an additional aspect of having a button bracelet. I've heard that if someone compliments your bracelet, you have to say a prayer for them and give them the bracelet. This was the reason I started to make button bracelets, actually. I've only given one away so far though, as only one person has noticed in two days. And when someone compliments them, they pass it on and continue the prayer. I love the idea of 'pass it forward' in a way.
